Cost of CareMississippi County Hospital System is a healthcare facility that aims to teach the patients not only about healthier life choices to improve their overall health, but also to help guide patients and families through the healthcare cost.
To enable MCHS to begin educating the public to healthcare expenses, we have posted a document "Cost of Care" to reflect the average hospitals' prices, based on historical date and should be used as an estimate. The price estimates do not include any professional charges for physicians such as surgeons, anesthesia, pathologist, emergency room physicians, hospitalist, or radiologist, etc.
The "Cost of Care" document is a tool to use for a starting point to help estimate any out-of-pocket cost.
Actual out-of-pocket cost will depend on a number of factors, including third party insurance coverage, annual deductibles and coinsurance amounts. You can call 870-563-7172 or 870-838-7119 to speak directly to a patient account representative in the MCHS business office.
In accordance with federal guidelines, MCHS strives to offer price transparency to all of our patients. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services requires all healthcare facilities to make a list of standard charges public and easily accessible. More information about these regulations can be found on the CMS website.
